I'm Louie — usually elbow-deep in code, exploring new tools, tinkering with projects, and finding ways to make building things more fun.

I build apps for a living, mostly Flutter and React Native, plus whatever else the problem calls for.

I didn't start as a developer. In college I was never a fan of coding, I had better grades in networking. But a few projects during my internship stuck with me, and when I landed my first job in 2018 as a network administrator, the part I looked forward to wasn't the network, it was a little dashboard I built on the side to visualize our Wi-Fi data. That's what made me decide to give development a real shot.

Since then I've followed the work that interested me. Three years as the main developer on Kahero, a POS system small businesses ran their day on, then a stretch of healthcare apps that doctors and clinics actually used. These days I freelance, and I'm drawn to the messy ones: the project stuck for months, the team that can't seem to ship. The most satisfying problems are rarely the purely technical ones.

Outside of code, I run. Partly to clear my head, partly to touch grass before I turn full vampire. Always up for new collaborations and problems I haven't run into yet.
